The oyster opening device comprises pincers having two cutting jaws and a fine pointed flexible blade (8) fixed on one of two arms (6,7). Positioning the pincers on the oyster edge and clamping the arms causes a small slit in the two oyster valves. The blade is then introduced into the slit to cut the oyster muscle and lift the shell.
