PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key telephone system which is capable of reproducing instantaneously a prescribed message and also simplifying a message recording/ reproducing circuit. SOLUTION: The buttons on a button operation part 3 are operated for registering the originating time and the originating destination telephone number of a message in a memory part 4. A trunk interface part 1 catches a trunk line by an instruction of a control part 9 to a automatically dial the originating destination telephone number and also to open the trunk line after the end of a call. A message recording/reproducing part 8 digitizes an audio message, that is received from a microphone 5 by an instruction of the part 9 and stores the message in a semiconductor memory part 6. The part 8 also reads the data out of the part 6 and reproduces the audio message. The part 9 selects the originating destination telephone number, that has been stored in the part 6 and automatically dials the telephone number via the part 1 to reproduce and transmit the message from the relevant semiconductor memory, when the originating time stored in the part 6 is matches with the current time of a clock part 2.
