PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently mix developer with replenished toner and stir the developer and the toner, simultaneously, to make a developing device compact in a width direction (horizontal direction) by carrying the circulated developer in a developing tank. SOLUTION: The developing tank 2 for storing the developer is divided into upper and lower parts by a partitioning piece 2a, and a developing roller 3 and a stirring roller 4 are installed in the lower divided area, and two screw rollers 5 and 6 are installed in the upper area. a distance between the leading end of the partitioning piece 2a and a control member 7 for controlling the quantity of the developer attracted by the developing roller 3 is formed as a take-in port 9 for an excess developer removed by the control member 7. Thus, the developer is sent toward the upper screw rollers 5 and 6, and the developer is mixed with the toner replenished from a replenishing port 15 and stirred so as to be carried toward the shaft direction of the screw roller 5, and then, the developer is sent to the screw roller 6 placed opposite to the roller 5, and the stirred developer is made to circulate toward the stirring roller 4 through a return port 13 formed facing the screw roller 6, and the screw rollers 5 and 6 for carrying the replenished toner are installed in the upper part, then, the device 1 is made compact. |
