PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin battery with heightened volumetric energy density, without shorting the width of the sealing part continuous to the main body part of an outer casing and increasing the thickness of the battery. SOLUTION: A laminate outer casing 1 is constituted of an outer casing main body part 3, a first sealing part 4a for sealing the tip part of the outer casing main body part 3, a second sealing part 4b for sealing the bottom part of the outer casing main body part 3, and a third sealing part 4c for sealing the side end parts of the outer casing main body part. The first and the second sealing parts 4a, 4b are formed by overlapping these parts so as to closely layer the inside faces of the laminate material each other and melt depositing the overlapped parts. The third sealing part 4c is formed by overlapping the peripheries of the end parts of the laminate material so as to closely layer the inside face and the outside face of the laminate material and melt-depositing the overlapped parts. The first sealing part 4a and the second sealing part 4b are bent, and the folded parts are restricted within a range of the thickness of the outer casing main body part 3. |
