The system uses a geometric mean of sensor confirmation to control variation in magnetic coupling of rotor and stator poles. The stator (S) of the pulse generator has two windings, one is used as a sensor (C) and the other as an ignition winding (Ba). The whole is furnished with a geometric mean of sensor (C) conformation, which permits variation of the magnetic coupling between the poles (Pi) of the rotor and certain of the stator poles (C,Ba) during rotation of the rotor (Rot). The geometric mean permits variation of the magnetic coupling situated on the pole or poles carrying the winding used to detect the position for giving advance ignition. The geometric mean which permits variation of the magnetic coupling, includes a cut section of curvilinear length (X1,X2) from the pole of the sensor (C) to a constant airgap without modification of the magnetically induced flux ( DELTA OMICRON ) on the side of first type of ignition point. This enables advance adjustment as a function of fuel from a resistance (R) of wave shaper (T) without risk of displacing the first type of ignition point to a point between (Xf) and (X0) and thus increases the power of the ignition winding.
