PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically add the current position of a vehicle running on a road to a moving picture of a road state photographed by a moving picture output means mounted on the vehicle. SOLUTION: The road picture gathering device 1 which is mounted on the vehicle running on the road and gathers moving picture information at respective positions on the road is equipped with the moving picture output means 4 which photographs and outputs the state of the road as moving picture information 5, position detecting means 7 and 8 which detect the position 12 of the vehicle in order, a position adding means 8 which adds the respective positions 12 detected by the position detecting means 7 and 8 to the moving picture information 5 outputted sequentially by the position detecting means 4, and a moving picture information recording means 6 which records the moving picture information where the position 12 is added.
