<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently measure the position of a hole formed in a work, using a distance meter for measuring the distance from the work with a projected/ received light. SOLUTION: The distance from a work is measured at P1, a distance meter is moved slowly along L1 from P1 to detect the position of a first hole edge point La of a hole Bb intersecting L1, them moved fast to P2 via P0 from the detected position of La to measure the distance from the work at P2, moves slowly along L2 from P2 to measure a second hole edge point Lb of the hole Bb intersecting L2, and fast moved from the detected position of Lb to P3 via P0 to measure the distance from the work at P3. Based on the measured distances at P1, P2, P3, equations representing a hole-forming plane of the work are obtd. and equations of two circles C1, C2 of the same radius as that of the hole Bb on the hole-forming plane, passing over La, Lb, are obtd. The center coordinate of either circle C1 or C2 nearer P0 at the center is taken as the center coordinate O of the hole Bb.</p> |
