PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device capable of thermally fixing an image in a short time and at a lower temperature by providing a heating element in a pair of upper and lower plate bodies arranged so that a photosensitive and pressure sensitive recording medium during being carried is abutted from the upside and the downside. SOLUTION: A thermally fixing device is constituted of a pair of upper and lower plate bodies 25 and 26 made of a metallic plate excellent in thermal conductivity such as aluminum. A heating element 30 is stuck to the outer surfaces of the plate bodies over the width nearly equal to the width dimension of the photosensitive and pressure sensitive recording medium 1. The leading end of the medium 1 exposed and pressure-developed enters a gap on the edge sides of the plate bodies 25 and 26 while widening the gap, the wide surfaces of the plate bodies 25 and 26 slide on the front and the back surfaces of the passing medium 1 and a color image is thermally fixed by imparting the heat. Since the heat is imparted to the both upper and lower surfaces of the medium 1 for a comparatively long time while moving the medium 1, the large quantity of the heat is imparted to the medium 1 at a comparatively low temperature. |
