PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric material having excellent characteristics that TCK(a temperature coefficient of a relative dielectric constant) is low, and the relative dielectric constant is high. SOLUTION: This dielectric material contains Ca2 Ta2-x Nbx O7 and a relative dielectric constant of it is high, then a temperature coefficient of the relative dielectric constant is low. Preferably, the x in the composition meets the following formula 0.20<=x<=1.20, yet preferably 0.32<=x<=0.40, and especially preferably x=0.36. In preferable embodiment, x is 0.36, the relative dielectric constant is approximately 30, TCK is approximately 2 ppm/ deg.C, and Q value at 1 MHz of polycrystalline ceramic is approximately 5,000. Especially, this dielectric material is suitable for microwave communication. |
