PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device capable of comparatively easily and optimally controlling image quality in a short time and capable of adequately keeping the image quality. SOLUTION: The adhering amounts of developer to the two test patterns of high density and low density are measured by a toner density measuring part 8, the deviations of the high density part and the low density part are calculated by the measured adhering amounts of the developer of the high density part and the low density part, and the target values of those, the manipulated variable of a contrast voltage adequate to the correction of the deviations of the high density part and the low density part, and the manipulated variable of a background voltage are selected according to an adjusting rule, test operation is performed according to the selected manipulated variable, so that the sensitivity of the deviation to the manipulated variable is detected, and the manipulated variable is decided in accordance with the detection result. The contrast voltage and the background voltage are adjusted in accordance with the decided manipulated variable, so that good image. quality can be kept by eliminating the deviation. |
