<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new, useful inactivation device of a nonaqueous electrolyte battery capable of safely, quickly inactivating a used nonaqueous electrolyte battery. SOLUTION: A battery put into an opening machine 2 from a supply means 3 is opened without cutting in a solution 51 containing an electrolyte in a solution bath 5, the battery is inactivated in the solution 51, then recovered with a recovering conveyer 6. Excess increase in temperature of the solution and the battery caused by opening work is suppressed with a solution cooling device 8 and a battery cooling device 4 for cooling the battery not yet opened, and the unnecessary materials such as the contents of the battery and battery outer case produced by the opening of the battery are removed with a filter 7 of the solution and a floating material recovering device 9.</p> |
