PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the shortening of warm-up time and the decrease of power consumption further with induction heating as a target and besides to prevent the unevenness of the temperature of a fixing member. SOLUTION: The fixing device 20 is equipped with: the fixing member 30 fixing a transferred toner image on material to be transferred by heat treatment; and a pressure member 40 abutting on the fixing member 30 so as to form a nip part N through which paper P is made to pass. The fixing member 30 is equipped with a cylindrical metallic layer 32 on the surface side of which the paper P abuts, and an induction coil 34 which supplies magnetism to the metallic layer 32 so as to perform the induction heating. The metallic layer 32 comprises a non-magnetic metallic layer 321 composed of non-magnetic metal and formed on the induction coil 34 side, and a temperature sensitive metallic layer 322 composed of temperature sensitive metal and laminated on the non-magnetic metallic layer 321. The thickness dimension of the non-magnetic metallic layer 321 is set so that a calorific value generated by the fixing member 30 may be larger than that in the temperature sensitive metallic layer 322 as a single body.
