PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively restrain abnormal overheating at both ends of a fixing roller. SOLUTION: The fixing device 20 is equipped with: a fixing member 30 to be heated up by induction heating caused by magnetism from an induction coil 34; and a pressure member 40 abutting on the fixing member 30 so as to form a nip part N through which paper P is made to pass. A heating layer 32 being the component of the fixing member 30 is constituted of a temperature sensitive metallic layer 321 composed of temperature sensitive metal and formed on the induction coil 34 side, and a non-magnetic metallic layer 322 composed of non-magnetic metal and laminated on the temperature sensitive metallic layer 321. The non-magnetic metallic layer 322 is formed of metal (copper (Cu)) having a smaller specific resistance value than that of aluminum and its thickness dimension is set to the dimension (30 μm) wherein the temperature does not rise substantially by the induction heating.
