The instrument consists of two panels (3) of a basically rigid and incompressible material with flat surfaces, attached to the hands (7) so they can be clapped together to make a noise. The panels are of larger area than the hands and can be of varied shape, preferably with rounded corners. Each panel has a front surface of a rigid material and a gripping surface (5) made for comfort and equipped with straps (8) for the hands. Suitable materials are plastics, wood or cardboard.
