The swimming pool floor can be raised or lowered by a scissors linkage (3,6). Each scissor comprises two arms, the first (3b) being pivoted in its lower part around a pivot (3c) which can move longitudinally relative to the pool bottom (15). This arm is also pivoted in its upper part around a fixed pivot (3d). The second arm (3e) is pivoted in its lower part around a fixed pivot (3a) and about a pivot (3f) on the first arm.
