The method for manufacturing the lithium ion secondary battery includes a process wherein a positive pole (3) made by putting a positive pole active material layer (32) and a positive pole current collector (31) together and a negative pole (5) made by putting a negative pole active material layer (52) and a negative pole current collector (51) together are stacked with adhesive resin (6) including plastic resin placed in parts of a space between the positive pole (3) and the negative pole (5), and a process wherein the adhesive resin (6) is plastically deformed. By this method, the lithium ion battery can be manufactured easily and the productivity can be increased.
