<p>The inventors have established that certain polymer materials exhibit field emission at very low threshold electric fields. A field emission cathode utilising this phenomenon is disclosed and also its application in a field emission display. Conjugated polymers, and particularly substituted polythiophenes, have been shown to be particularly suitable.</p> |
