<p>A clippings directing attachment (10) for composite board shears that have a set of blades (14) defining a pair of parallel cutting planes by their mutually contacting surfaces and that create clippings when used to cut composite board. The attachment (10) comprises a mounting assembly (18) adapted to mount the attachment (10) onto the shears (17) and a chute (23) attached to the mounting assembly (18) and adapted to direct composite board clippings (24) away from the cutting planes when the mounting assembly (18) is mounted on the shears and the shears are being used to cut composite board. In an alternative embodiment, a clippings directing chute (118) is built into an upward extension (116) of a central blade (114) of a blade set (112).</p> |
