The tank or tubing comprises at least one layer comprising a barrier resin, adjacent to at least one layer consisting of a blend comprising at least one polyolefin and at least one functionalized polyolefin. The functionalized polyolefin comprises functional monomeric units chosen from carboxylic acids and anhydrides corresponding to the dicarboxylic acids. Preferred Features: The tank or tubing is produced by extrusion blow molding. The barrier resin is a random ethylene-vinyl alcohol polymer. The polyolefin is a high density polyethylene and the functional monomeric units of the functionalized polyolefin come from the copolymerization or the grafting of maleic anhydride. The content of the functional monomeric units in the functionalized polyolefin is between 0.5% and 20% inclusive by weight.
