The IC engine has a value representing the engine load, determined from the torque measured at an output shaft of the IC engine and-or at an output shaft or a gear box. The value represents the cylinder charge load, air mass flow or suction pipe pressure value. Determining of the value represents the load results from the measured torque according to a moment model. The measured torque (mf) is connected with the torque losses (m).
