A process for the production of carbon black granules comprises compacting carbon black twice or several times with auxiliary substances and then pulverizing to give granules with an average particle size of 0.3-2 (preferably 0.5-1.0) mm and a density/bulk density ratio of 3.0-10 (preferably 3.5-8).
