The torque sensor (1) is subjected to a pressurized medium by a pump and is arranged between a drive part and driven part with a pressure chamber (40) to which a pressurized medium can be applied. At least part of the torque transferred between the drive and driven parts can be transferred via the sensor. The pressure in the chamber, which determines the torque transfer capacity of the sensor, is controllable by a pressure reduction valve (10,11) connected to the chamber.
