<p>The present invention is directed towards compositions and methods which provide a genetically distinct mutant of E. coli heat-labile enterotoxin (LT). Specifically, the invention relates to formulations and methods for use of a mutant LT designated LT (R192G) which is shown to have adjuvanticity without the toxicity associated with wild type LT, said mutant holotoxin being provided in pure form, substantially free of excess B-subunit. The LR(R192G) is useful when combined with free B-subunit to induce an immune response.</p> |
