A microwave sensor is used operating on the Doppler principle, with a transmitter in the coverage area and controlled by an evaluation circuit. The transmitter is mechanical and formed by piezoelectrical, magneto-strictive, motor, magneto-dynamic means. The transmitter comprises a plastic or metal plate oscillated or rotated and acting as a microwave antenna.
