The method involves producing a section of lampshade material (1) according to the dimensions of the flat projection (2) of the shade to be produced, with two lateral edges, a circularly curved upper edge and a concentric lower edge; determining the dimensions of a rectangular frame for a pattern to be printed onto the shade; storing the pattern in a data processor; distorting the pattern so that both side edges (9',10') of the pattern form an angle to each other, the lower edge (8) is longer than the upper edge (7), the upper edge is externally concave and the lower edge externally convex; printing the pattern onto the material and cutting out the shade projection. An Independent claim is also included for a printed lampshade produced using the method. |
