<p>A dough ball loader includes a conveyor belt (14) supported on a frame. A frame plate (106) is fixed in position over the conveyor belt (14). Loading tubes (66) on the frame plate are aligned over a loading opening in the frame plate (106). Pairs of flatteners (100) are pivotably attached to the frame plate (106) adjacent to the loading opening (66). The flatteners (100) preferably have a flat bottom surface (102). An actuator (124) is linked to the flatteners (100) and pivots the flatteners (100) from an open position (K) for loading dough balls onto the conveyor belt (14), to a closed position (J), for flattening the dough balls and fixing them into position on the belt.</p> |
