The method involves incoherently amplifying the emitted radiation from a broadband, incoherent light source (IQ-HL) in an optical amplifier up to the required intensity. The source is an up-conversion glass fiber doped with rare earth elements, optically stimulated with suitable pump light radiation (PM) and operated without a laser resonator.
