<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acceleration sensor that converts the swing of a weight into a signal for detecting acceleration and can easily constitute a stopper being provided for the weight at a proper position, and at the same time to provide a method for manufacturing the acceleration sensor. SOLUTION: In an acceleration sensor, a weight 6 is mounted to an axis part 2A of a diaphragm 2 being fixed to the bottom part of an upper case 1 via a connection pin 5, and acceleration is detected, where the acceleration operates on the acceleration sensor due to the distortion of the diaphragm 2 caused by the swing of the weight. A stopper 8 made of an elastic material is provided at the bottom part of a lower case 7, and the weight 6 is accommodated in an accommodation hole 8A being formed in the stopper 8. Once the acceleration sensor is assembled while the weight 6 is covered with a cap member 21, the acceleration hole 8A is molded with the plastic elastic material by the cap member 21 for forming.</p> |
