IMAGE FORMING ELEMENT AND ITS FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a base for forming an image reducing gloss and glare at the time of observing a print by making the surface roughness of a laminated base having a biaxially stretched film stuck to the uppermost surface of the base within a specified range. SOLUTION: This image forming element is provided with a laminated base having a biaxially stretched film layer stuck to the uppermost surface of the base and having average surface roughness of about 0.5-2.54μm. Since a random surface pattern formed on the rough surface on the biaxially stretched sheet disperses reflected light in a random style especially useful in many photographic markets, it is preferable. The surface roughness of the biaxially stretched sheet can be formed by mixing a water-soluble binder resin or a solvent-soluble polymer binder with an inorganic pigment or a filler. As an additional method, desirable surface roughness can be attained by using a mutually insoluble block copolymer preferably, such as a mixture of polyethylene and polypropylene.
