A fastening device is described for electrical house-wiring apparatuses, like switches, pushbuttons, brightness control apparatuses, etc for installation in wall sockets with spreading claws which press on the inner wall of the socket under the effect of an adjusting screw. Each spreading claw forms a construction unit with its adjusting screw (3) and a guide part (4). The guide part with its legs is designed as a U-shaped component with which it comes to corresponding counter-surfaces for installing on the apparatus housing and there for a surface measured pressure distribution.
