Foaming and vulcanizing a neutral silicone mass comprises foaming and vulcanizing a mixture of alpha , omega -dihydroxy polydimethyl siloxanes, filler, crosslinker and finely divided ammonium carbonate, alkali hydrogen carbonate and/or ammonium hydrogen carbonate.- DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Foaming and vulcanizing a neutral silicone mass comprises foaming, at above 60 deg. C and vulcanizing, a mixture comprising: - (a) 100 parts weight (pts. wt.) alpha , omega -dihydroxy polydimethyl siloxanes of viscosity 0.1-1000 Pa.s; - (b) 2-250 pts. wt. filler and optionally fibers and metal and/or polymer powder; - (c) 1-15 pts. wt. silane crosslinker from oximino-, amido- and alkoxy-silanes; - (d) optionally softener, catalysts, adhesive, stabilizer, fungicides, flame retardants and/or pigments; and - (e) finely divided ammonium carbonate, alkali hydrogen carbonate and/or ammonium hydrogen carbonate of average particle size below 50 mu .- An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a foamable silicone sealant prepared as above
