The two-section medium reservoir (1) has one supplying the moistening roller (2) and one acting as an overflow section. A pump (10) continuously circulates medium between a storage container (8), and the two sections. The outlet pipe (6) from the overflow section is located at the filling level of the reservoir and contains a flow sensor (7), which, if the level drops below a minimum value and the flow ceases, provides a signal. Preferred Features: The assumption is made that the levels in the two reservoir sections are always the same.
