The arrangement can connect to a network connection line of a terminal and/or telecommunications system for the essentially load-free input and output coupling of signals. The signals transmitted over the connection line are converted (3) into binary form. Selection signals (11) are converted into a binary signal sequence (12) which corresp. at least partly to the selected number combination. Tariff information for different operators and/or times and/or addresses and/or caller classes is held in a database (6). A control unit (5) reads data from the database according to characteristic parameters of the binary signal and defines the period of a tariff clock. A pulse generator (4) generates pulses (14) according to the tariff clock during a connection, which are output to the connection line and evaluated by the terminal or system. An Independent claim is also included for a method of generating accounting pulses for telecommunications connections.
