Optical three-dimensional sensor with very high measurement speed and accuracy for three-dimensional measurement of work piece surfaces

The sensor projects a fixed number of binary patterns onto the surface (4) to be measured in a very rapid sequence using a new type of optical switch. Images of the pattern are formed on two high-speed semiconducting surface cameras (3) via two optical arrangements arranged symmetrically w.r.t. the test body surface at an optimal angle to ensure minimal shadowing and maximum resolution.
