A wavelength-multiplexing optical transmission channel having a small wavelength-dependent difference of transmission loss in a 1550 nm band of wavelength and capable of compensating for wavelength dispersion of a single-mode optical fiber. A wavelength-multiplexing optical transmission channel (10) is laid between an optical transmitter (11) and an optical receiver (14). The wavelength-multiplexing optical transmission channel (10) is composed of a single-mode optical fiber (12) and a dispersion-compensating optical fiber (13) connected in series. Boron is added to at least one of the core and clad of the dispersion-compensating optical fiber (13). Since a boron-added optical fiber is connected to the single-mode optical fiber (12), the dependence of the transmission loss of the wavelength-multiplexing optical transmission channel (10) on the wavelength is low, and the wavelength loss difference of the wavelength-multiplexing optical channel (10) is made flat.
