<p>An apparatus (21) for reading cheques, or documents (22), including an optical and/or magnetic acquisition device (26) for acquiring information from a reference surface (28) of the cheques or documents (22), and in which a cheque or document (22) entering in the apparatus is subject to follow an internal path (44) including a return path portion (46) of loop shape. The acquisition device (26) is arranged in front of a passage section (47) of the path adjacent to an entry and an exit of the return path portion (46) and movement means (27) feed the cheque or document (22) from an entry seat (23) to the passage section (47) for acquiring information from the reference surface (28) and again to the passage section after the return path portion to an exit seat (24) for acquiring information from a surface (43) of the cheque or document opposite to the reference surface (28).</p> |
