Preparation of a powder composition (I), from a porous material and a thermoplastic material, comprises introducing the porous material and thermoplastic material, in the form of solid particles, and agitating and heating the mixture to dry at 20-300 (preferably 50-150)[deg]C (which is superior to the fusion temperature of the thermoplastic material) to allow the absorption of the elastomer in at least a part of the volume of the pores. An independent claim is also included for a powder composition comprising a porous silica containing a thermoplastic material in at least a part of the pore volume. |
