PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure desired paper feed without requiring troublesome switching even when a printer is in a waiting state or a print interruption state by interrupting printing when second turn-on is detected and actuating a paper feed mechanism to transfer a recording sheet. SOLUTION: A signal from a paper feed switch 30 is delivered through an I/O 24 to a CPU 21 having a timer for measuring on or off time of the switch 30. First turn-on of the switch 30 is detected during printing of a data acquired from a data receiver and a specified time is passed after detecting turn-on. Printing of data is interrupted upon detection of second turn-on after elapsing the specified time and a paper feed mechanism is actuated to transfer a recording sheet. Transfer time of recording sheet may be changed depending on the turn-on time of the switch 30. These control processes are stored in the ROM 25 of the printer. |
