PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the steering property of a vehicle or the riding comfortableness of the vehicle by varying the transmission ratio of the steering quantity of a steering handle to the steering quantity of a steering wheel in the middle of a steering transmission system for connecting the steering handle to the steering wheel, and changing the movement characteristic of the vehicle according to the transmission ratio. SOLUTION: An upper steering shaft 12a is provided with a steering angle sensor 26 for detecting the steering angle of a steering shaft 10, and a lower steering shaft 12b is provided with an output angle sensor 28 for detecting the steering angle of a steering wheel. A variable gear ratio unit 14 varies the transmission ratio of the steering quantity of the steering handle 10 to the steering quantity of steering wheels 24FL, 24FR, and it comprises a reduction gear using a motor and an epicyclic gear mechanism or harmonic drive mechanism. According to this, the rolling of a vehicle body can be allowed to ensure the riding comfortableness while improving the response characteristic of the vehicle. |
