POLYESTER FILM FOR LAMINATING ON METAL PLATE AND FABRICATING THE LAMINATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for laminating on a metal plate and fabricating the laminate, while holding heat resistance, impact resistance and retort resistance, and simultaneously having excellent moldability and improved taste and smell holdability, especially improved taste and smell holdability after retorted. SOLUTION: This polyester film comprises a biaxially oriented film produced from a polyethylene terephthalate copolymer having a melting point of 210-245 deg.C, satisfies the following inequalities I and II: Tg >=78 I and Te-Tg <=30 II [Tg is a glass transition temperature ( deg.C) measured with DSC, after thermally melted at 290 deg.C and subsequently quenched; Te is the maximum peak temperature ( deg.C) of the loss modulus of the film], and contains a spherical monodispersed lubricant having an average particle diameter of <=2.5μm and a particle diameter ratio (major axis/minor axis) of 1.0-1.2.
