PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce incurring of an energy loss of a hydraulic source and a prime mover by high-efficiently utilizing oil injected toward the rolling surface of a power roller. SOLUTION: This toroidal type continuously variable transmission comprises a ball bearing 8 interposed between a power roller 1 and a trunnion 3; a roller bearing 9 located between a pivot shaft 2 and the power roller 1; oil feed holes 16 and 21 to feed lubrication oil to the ball bearing 8 and the roller bearing 9 through an oil passage 15 formed at the internal parts of the trunnion 3 and the pivot shaft 2; an oil injection nozzle 17 to feed lubrication oil toward the rolling surface of the power roller 1; and a hydraulic source to feed with a pressure lubrication oil to the oil passage 15 and the oil infection nozzle 17. An oil receiver 30 opened facing the oil injection nozzle 17 is arranged at the tip part 2a of the pivot shaft 2 pivotally supported on the power roller 1. |
