A method for applying mineral fertilizers includes approximate application rates of nutrient elements to grow sugar beet on a background of 30 t/ha of organic fertilizers (manure) depending on the area of moistening and soil type of 110...180 kg/ha of nitrogen (N), 120...170 kg/ha of phosphorus (P2O5), 100...200 kg/ha of potassium (K2O) the final values of which for obtaining the planned yield is set up depending on the level of supplying the soil with nutrient elements; the scheme of application, while carrying out the basic soil cultivation, in the course of seeding and while fertilizing plants in the period of vegetation. Covering the mineral fertilizers, while carrying out the basic deep soil cultivation, in the course of seeding and while fertilizing plants, is carried out for the optimum depth. The depth of covering the mineral fertilizers, while seeding and fertilizing the plants, is determined depending on the depth of covering thereof, while carrying out the basic soil cultivation.
