METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE SPECTRAL CHARACTERISTICS OF AN OBJECT

The proposed method for determining the spectral characteristics of an object in spectophotometery consists in scanning the object by optical radiation transmitted through a narrow slit, transmitting the radiation through a lens and a scattering element, and analyzing the distribution of the radiation intensity be a photodetector array. The scanning is accomplished in the directions that are perpendicular and parallel to the centerline of the narrow slit.
