PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the fouling of the surface of an image during image formation and achieve the formation of a dot image pattern through a higher resolution process to enhance the reliability of imaging. SOLUTION: This imaging material comprises at least, an imaging medium having an imaging layer including a colorant layer consisting of a colorant capable of absorbing the wavelength of a light from an exposure light source, dispersed in a thermoplastic resin on a first support, and a medium to which an image is transferred with a layer receiving a transferred image formed on a second support, the imaging layer being laminated opposite to the layer receiving a transferred image. In this case, the layer receiving a transferred image characteristically contains the thermoplastic resin with a glass transition temperature of -20 deg.C or lower and an additive with a melt point of 80 deg.C or higher. |
