PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the wear of the head of a recording printer without defects in a recorded part and ensure that there is no defective running of a recording medium inside the recording printer, in a reversible thermal recording medium which is capable of developing a color and decoloring by controlling heating conditions and maintaining the color development state and the decoloring state at ordinary temperature. SOLUTION: This reversible thermal recording medium is formed of a colorless or pale dye precursor and a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a developer which reversibly makes the dye precursor develop a color or decolorized, and performs the color development and the decoloring by difference in the heating temperature. In this case, under environments at a temperature of 20 deg.C and a relative humidity of 65%, the surface electric resistance value on the surface of the heat-sensitive recording layer side is 1×10<13> Ω/(square) or less and the coefficient of a surface static friction is 0.65 or less. |
