METHOD FOR IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF EARLY POTATO VARIETIES

A method for improving the quality of early potato varieties involves soil preparation, ridge planting, and handling of plants with formation of ridges. The tubers of early varieties are planted for depth of 10-12 cm relative to the level of the field surface and covered with soil layer with 4-5 cm depth from the soil surface to the tuber leaving grooves of 2-3 cm depth along the center of row. In 8-10 days loosening with earth moving is carried out with formation of the ridge above the tubers of 6-8 cm height, and intertilling is carried out after seedling emergence with interval of 8-10 days with formation of the ridge of 23-25 cm height.
