An in-vehicle computer system is provided to switch a normal mode into a backup mode even without starting an engine in the case of the abnormality in a host computer during travel. An in-vehicle computer system includes a display(3), a host computer(1), a backup storing unit(21), a backup processor, and a backup micro processor(23). The display is electrically connected to a mode switch(24) which switches a normal mode into a backup mode. The host computer is electrically connected to the mode switch, and connected to electronic devices of a vehicle through a bus(4). The host computer includes a central processing unit(11), and a storing unit(10) for storing a plurality of graphic interfaces matched to the electronic devices. The backup storing unit stores at least one backup graphic interface(22) matched to the operation of the electronic devices. The backup graphic processor is electrically connected to the backup storing unit and the mode switch. The backup micro processor is electrically connected to the backup graphic processor and at least one of the electronic devices.
