PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording medium which shows a high recorded image quality, and is almost free from a curling phenomenon and an uneven surface after recording. SOLUTION: This thermal recording medium has an undercoat layer and a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a leuco dye and a coloration agent formed sequentially on a heat-shrinkable support. In this case, the build-up of the undercoat layer is 5-20 g/m<2> and the content of a thermoplastic compound with a 35-150 deg.C melting point in the undercoat layer is 10-70 wt.% of the total build-up of the undercoat layer. |
