PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the tongue plate of a seat belt being taken up suddenly from striking the occupant, vehicle interior trim or the like during its take-up movement. SOLUTION: An inertia disk 30 is mounted for rotation on one end of a winding shaft 17 for taking up a seat belt 10 thereon, and clutch plates 33 are pinned for turning motion on a support plate 32 secured to the winding shaft 17. These clutch plates 33 are pressed away from the inertia disk 30 by respective helical extension springs 36. |
