<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix an elastic grommet for harness insertion on the front end wall of an automobile door tight and securely or with no flotation. SOLUTION: The outer surface of a grommet body 1 on its root side of a harness-insertion cylinder part 2 is pressed on a front end wall 5 by a hard presser cover 3. The presser cover 3 is formed with a cutout or recess 24 for the harness-insertion cylinder part 2 to apply pressure to the root of the harness- insertion cylinder part 2. The grommet body 1 includes, on its root side of the harness-insertion cylinder part 2, a thick part 6 that has a pressing allowance projected from a recess groove part 15 in the front end wall 5 so as to be compressed by the presser cover 3. The presser cover 3 is also formed with locking clips 27 or locking nuts, and the front end wall 5 is formed with fixing holes 21 for receiving the locking clips 27 or with bolts for receiving the locking nuts.</p> |
